Remember that army trunk I showed you? Here it is after a complete transformation.
We were looking for a place to store our patio chair covers and pillows and when I spotted that big army trunk in my in-laws attic I knew it would be perfect for it.
Herinneren jullie je die legerkist nog die ik een paar posts geleden liet zien. Die ziet er nu heel anders uit. En hij is nu de perfecte plek om de terraskussens en hoezen in op te ruimen.
But it needed a little something first. So I gave it a coat of whitewash, added some wheels and used my crate letters to stamp a text on it.
Zoals jullie kunnen zien heb ik hem gewhitewashed. Er zitten nu ook wieltjes onder en mijn kistletters heb ik gebruikt om er een tekst op te maken.
Then the only thing I needed to do was sew a pillow for it, so that it would provide some comfortable seating too.
The trunk stands on a part of our terrace that is covered so you can sit there even if it is raining.
Een lekker kussen mocht natuurlijk ook niet ontbreken. De kist staat onder een afdakje dus je kunt er ook lekker zitten als het regent.
To make sure the fabric of our covers and pillows wouldn’t snag on the wood inside I lined the trunk with some leftover fabric from a project long forgotten.
De binnenkant heb ik gevoerd met een rest stof die ik nog had liggen.
I just love how it turned out. Me Happy!

Wat heb je er weer wat moois van gemaakt! Hihi, en als ik lees "even een kussentje gemaakt" dan kan ik alleen maar zuchten…bij mij wordt zoiets tot een maandprojekt…
In ieder geval ziet het er hartstikke gaaf uit en past precies in dat hoekje!
