Our holiday in France was wonderful. We had beautiful weather, stayed in a cozy cottage that lay in the centre of a wonderful part of France, the Provence.
We zijn weer terug van onze vakantie in de Provence. Het was een heerlijke tijd, waarin we met hart en ziel genoten hebben van alles wat de omgeving ons te bieden had.
We hebben eindeloos rondgereden over prachtige wegen altijd benieuwd naar wat de volgende bocht ons zou brengen.
We took it all in in with all our heart. The colors, the smells, the heat, the taste (good food!) and of course the sights.
We drove around a lot. My love loves to drive and I am a good map reader. So we choose a destination in the morning and then just followed where the road lead us.
And my Love was wonderful. We stumbled unto many markets and he never got tired if I wanted to browse just one more stall, even encouraging me to take my time ‘you might never know, you might hit the jackpot here’.
The Provence is a wonderful region with big cities like Avignon and Marseille and with countless small villages with terracotta houses perched on the hills. There are acres with olive tree, fruit trees and sunflowers and of course everywhere you see the famous lavender fields.
Often when we were driving we would open up the windows, because a farmer was harvesting the lavender and we wanted to enjoy that lovely smell.
And now we are back, trying to adapt to everyday life, but slowly because we still have two more weeks of free time.
En nu proberen we weer langzaam te wennen aan het thuis zijn. Gelukkig hebben we nog twee weken de tijd om nog een beetje na te genieten voordat het ‘harde’ leven weer begint.

Godness what a lovely trip. The photos are beautiful. Hope your vacation will continue to be fantastic. I've been working almost a week now and it feel like the summer just started. The sun is shining outdoors and I'm sitting by the computor drawing machine parts and wishing myself somewere else. Hugs /linnea-maria

Klinkt naar een heerlijke vakantie! Wij weten nog steeds niet precies wat we waar willen gaan doen; strandvakantie, wandelen, vliegen of toch met de auto…jouw fotos zijn in ieder geval een inspiratie!

Wat een heerlijke foto's, om bij weg te dromen! En er is toch niets mooiers om gewoon maar de weg te volgen niet wetend waar je uitkomt! Hier nog ruim 1 weekje vakantie en dan begint de lagere school weer, de oudste mag nog een weekje langer thuisblijven (tot grote ergernis van z'n broertje, hahaha!!!)
