I received the best swap package EVER. No doubt. Look and admire and envy me!
A couple of months ago I had a moment of courage. I approached Lori from A Faerie Window if she would be interested in a personal swap. I was a (secret) admirer of her blog and artwork for some time and considered her way out of my league. But then she became a frequent commenter on my blog and I got to know her better.
Deze week ontving ik het swap pakketje dat Lori mij gestuurd heeft. Ik had haar gevraagd voor een persoonlijke swap en tot mijn grote vreugde had ze ja gezegd. En het pakket wat ik kreeg was in een woord geweldig, of moet ik overweldigend zeggen. Het was zo vol, zo rijk, zo mooi, zo zorgzaam samengesteld. Kijk en oordeel zelf, is dit niet het beste swap pakket dat jullie ooit gezien hebben?!
When I asked Lori if she would be interested in a swap, she immediately replied yes. I couldn’t be happier – for a moment – and then I started to worry like crazy. I know I am a total wimp like that.
Now I had to make a swap packet for a real pro. “Oh my gosh what have I done”.
Look at all this gorgeousness I got in return. This packet was so rich and full and beautiful. The goodies just kept coming out of that box, all wrapped beautifully.
There were lots of postcards, flashcards, Ledger paper!! (even some of this gorgeous blue one), a handmade box stuffed with millinery flowers, lace.
Two adorable vintage aprons, old embroidered linens, vintage sewing patterns and a matching magazine.
Lovely tins, one overflowing with old sparkly jewelry.
More beautiful old cards.
And a whole stack of vintage wallpaper and some beautiful big, pink roses.
Lori, I have mailed you already. This packet was out of the box good.
When I opened it I danced around with joy, and then I started to fret again. Biting my nails: what if my packet didn’t measure up, what if I disappointed her. So while I bite my nails a bit longer go over to Lori’s and see what I sent her and tell her she is the best swapper you have ever seen.
Lori’s pakket was helemaal te gek. En nu maak ik me natuurlijk zorgen dat ze mijn pakketje erbij in het niet valt. Als je daar zelf over wilt oordelen, ga dan maar eens bij Lori kijken. En als je daar toch bent, bedank haar dan nog eens namens mij en zeg dat ze de beste is. Want dat is ze echt, echt waar!

Marianne, you almost made me sound like a diva…LOL…i cannot even tell you what a good time i had opening your package to me…i don't think you realize how much some of us here in the US fawn and sigh over french ephemera…it is very hard to come by here…where i live anyway…i feel like i hit the jackpot truly…it is all so lovely…i keep looking at and sighing over the gorgeous fashion papers…i had never seen any in person, and they are so gorgeous…that you were thoughtful enough to make me something too was just the icing on the cake…i'm so glad that you asked from me to swap with you…i hope you are just as happy with what i sent to you…too funny that i said i never find anything french and the fashion magazine i happened to find for you was…how ironic is that?
