I thought I’d show you just a few more pictures I took during my trip to Barcelona.
Seeing trees with oranges and tangerines is still a very special sight for me.
Everywhere in the old city you will find amazing architecture with lots of details. Colorful murals like these could be found on many buildings.
Evidence of Spain’s Catholic faith are everywhere.
I had lots of fun browsing a little store that had specialized in anything dollhouse. I fell in love with the petite suitcases and their shoe collection was quite amazing too. I only bought some paper that is designed to be used as doll house wall paper.
You may have heard of the Zara fashion stores. But they have a line of home furnishings as well.
Zara is a very cheap brand, and since it is a Spanish brand it is even cheaper in Spain. I loved browsing their home department. I saw so many things I liked but I only bought a scented candle and a little tray made with mother of pearl (haven’t photographed it yet, so that is yet to come).
I liked pretty much everything they had (although I wouldn’t necessarily want everything in my house). The only thing I had serious doubts about were these fabric covered candlesticks. I thought that was a bit too much.
Trips like this are always fun, but also very tiring. I try to squeeze so much in just a few days: working, sight-seeing, connecting with foreign colleagues, savoring the sights, smells and tastes and of course some shopping. And the traveling itself is always tiring too.
So I am glad to be home again and back to my normal routine.

! Je weet dat je ook online bij Zara kunt shoppen? http://www.zarahome.com/shop/nl/en/zara-home/home en dat je Zara home ook in Amsterdam hebt? Ik begrijp best dat je daar ook in het buitenland wilde kijken en zeker als het voordeliger is, maar ik dacht het te melden in het geval van spijt dat je iets niet gekocht hebt. Het aanbod is soms zo overweldigend. Geniet van je weekend thuis, je lief is vast ook weer blij dat je weer thuis bent!

Aaaaah, Barcelona. I miss it so. I especially loved the lifestyle – so many people out so late at night. Gaudi's La Sacrada Familia (sp?) took my breath away.

Oh Barcelona is zooo mooi! Je foto's zijn echt super… Ja zo veel mogelijk doen in een paar dagen, dat hoort echt bij citytrips. geniet nog maar even lekker na.
