Hello Ladies, remember my twig wreath? He underwent another round of tweaking and fluffing and now he is the star of my Spring/ Easter vignette.
I unraveled an old little twine wreath and added it to the center to balance it a bit more and then I decorated with glue gun and eggs. And of course a nest. I love all of these natural colors together. I think it is Spring and Easter wrapped up in a nice little bundle (well circle actually).
I am not into bunnies or the bright colors that seem to go with most Easter decorations. When it comes to my living room I like neutral colors more. My Love and I are ‘present’ enough as it is, we don’t need the competition of loud colors.
I found these lanterns at a discount store (for the Dutchies: de lantaarns heb ik bij de Action gevonden). I really like their rusty, industrial look. And do you see that little nest with the bird in the back? Ha, I found another way to hide that $#@## radiator knob.
My little plaster bowl is filled with twine and feather balls along with some wooden eggs. These eggs must be a least 30 years old. I bought them as a little girl to hang in a Easter branch (in Europe willow branches decorated with little colorful (wooden) eggs and figures are a traditional Easter decoration). They were all kinds of pastel colors then, with stripes and polka dots. I painted them greenish and speckled them.
Look at him! Isn’t he handsome! Who could have thought a bunch of garden clippings could become the center of attention in my living room.
At the same discount store where I found the lanterns I discovered these rusted bird and flower ornaments. I think they add just that little bit of extra interest to my wreath.

I have the EXACT 3 tiered basket you showed in your thrifting post. I haven't used it in a long time and I am more than happy to mail it to you free of charge if you want it. Oh the wreath looks great. Well done for sticking with it until you got it the way you wanted. I would have thrown it away in disgust after being unhappy with my first attempt. The whole vignette looks lovely.

Zóóó'dit lijkt wel "echt" Amerikaans! Daar heb ik al op diverse blogs dit soort kransen bewonderd, maar nooit gedacht om 'em zelf te maken. Hij is echt super geworden, leuk met die kwarteleitjes! Die kun je nog tot ver na de pasen laten hangen hoor!
Gewoon met de kerst de eitjes vervangen voor een paar kleine balletjes en klaar ben je! (hahaha…kerst… waar heb ik het over????)
