Just a bit of flower fun and a confession

Goodday me friends and followers. Have you noticed anything? Did it seem to you that there was something strange here on the ole blog?

Yeah you did?

Well you were right. My blog was in auto mode for a bit. If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram you may have seen some of my sneak peaks of recent adventures there. You see, I have been away on holiday. We have been to France in search of sunshine and vintage treasures. It was a great trip and after I have found the time to sort out the hundreds of pictures I took I will show you all.

I didn’t feel comfortable letting you all know that I would not be at home for some time. You never know which creepy crowlers are following you too, so I wanted to make all the burglars out there to think that everything was normal and safe.

Well now I am back and I am ready to start sharing real time again.

One of the first things I did, – after 10 loads of laundry and some grocery shopping – was making my house feel like home again.

And what better way to do that then with fresh flowers.

So today I bring you a bit of flower fun. A simple little decorative corner. A small but elegant display. A bit of light decorating so to speak.

I found this definitely not silver teapot and sugar bowl at my in-laws when we were clearing out the house. We offered it for sale during our open house. No one paid any attention to it.

It even got some muffled laughs and stares of disbelief. We really weren’t asking for any serious money for it. We would even have given it away to someone who saw its potential.

No one did.

Except me, so I brought it home with me.

And here she stands the old metal teapot. With its curves and decorations, with its stains and holes. Perfectly imperfect. Old and tattered and just like I like it.

This good for nothing teapot, and this over the hill sugar bowl, are bringing some easy beauty to my house. With flowers from the garden this is a bit of free and easy decorating after this little birds heart.

What could be easier. Just plunk those flowers in and fiddle with them until they look good. Done!

And good it looks…..

It is btw pretty difficult to take good close up shots of objects standing in front of a mirror. That is if one wants to stay out of the shoot themselves.

Thank goodness for blurred backgrounds…..

That’s it for today.

In all things easy, vintage and beautiful,

Love,
