Me and My Blogging Mojo are Back!

pink flowers in white vases

Hi there, I lost my mojo….

…… I found it again……

……………….. with the help of some white vases and pink flowers.

Hi, remember me? I am the one who came back from France and disappeared. But I am back. And I am here to stay.

I lost my blogging vibe for a while. Vacation mode not only took over my day plans it took over my mind. As in everything went blank and all I could think about was ‘nothing’, ‘freedom’, ‘relax’, ‘no must do’s’. For a while I felt guilty and then I let go.

I knew my drive to blog would come back on its own and that there was no reason to force myself. So I enjoyed summer, thought of you, and waited for my mojo to return.

It started to come back yesterday. I was in a thrift store and inspiration hit me. And all of a sudden I couldn’t wait to start playing again, and nesting and fluffing and showing you guys what I was up to. It all started with that little vase I found.

A lovely little vase with a handle that I got for a buck or two. It came home with me and today I found a place for it. On my little white desk, and in the company of other white vases, and decorated with some pink flowers from the garden.

Blogging mojo found in a little thrifted white vase. Who would have thought.

Tomorrow school work starts again and everything will be back to normal. Both in my house and here on the blog. I have used my non-blogging days wisely (well somewhat at least) and I can finally say I am in the home stretch with my craft room makeover. I need to put in some final touches (I have vowed to myself I would not do the reveal until every last thing is finished because I know they will stay undone otherwise) and then it is time for the big reveal.

I have also been playing around in the house with some new things I gave myself, and I am weaning myself away from the summer but I am not ready for Fall yet and that shows in my decorating too.

So stick around. The fun is about the begin again.

Have you ever lost your mojo? And where did you find it again? In a little white vase? In the thrift store?

Love,

Exactly! I was walking around with my soul under my arm (LOL this is a direct translation of a Dutch saying, don’t even know if it exists in English) and only started to feel better and inspired when walking in that thrift store and seeing all of the possible transformations.
Thanks for being the first to welcome me back!!!

  2. Hi darling, so glad you took some time for you, sometimes we need that. Your mojo looks so inviting… glad you got it back. Looking forward to all you share. hugs ~lynne~

Thanks sweetie. Yeah, I guess I really needed to step back a bit and figure out that I really will start to miss it if I don’t blog for too long. Gives me all new drive and energy to pick it up again. Thanks for the sweet welcome back.

Ga nu even jouw foto’s bekijken en lekker nog even terug dromen.

  4. Glad to have you back! I know exactly how you feel- summers are so busy that blogging takes a back seat. I have continued to thrift, but have been lazy about photographing/sharing my finds. Send some mojo my way!

Shwooosh….. Mojo on its way to you.
Thanks glad to be back. And now pick up that camera and show us what you found. I am sure you found some beauties will thrifting.

  5. Welcome back! I, too, discovered that summers and blogging just don’t mix sometimes!:) Glad you enjoyed your summer.

Thanks. Yes I did! I guess we need to give ourselves a little break now and then. But I am glad to be back!

  7. Glad your mojo came back. Been there before! I find that with anything creative especially, sometimes you need to step away from the screen to be quiet/still and inspired. Happy you found inspiration in a little white vase. Beautiful! xo Jami

You were missed! Glad you’re back.

  9. Glad to know that I am not the only one who gets caught up in the “lazy days of summer”!!

Nothing like a stroll through the thrift store to get your mojo—cooking again!
Glad to see you back. Glad to hear you were somewhat productive in the home, though not blogging about it.
I do that. I may not be seen here…at my blog…but I’m busy, working on projects and getting things done, so I can come back and fodder…ehem…blogging material to post about!

…such a lovely white vase, the pink flowers are a lovely touch too, Pat
