Good day my sweets, today I bring you my week in pictures. If you follow me on Instagram (I am MSongbird there) you will have seen these before, and quite a few have showed up on my Facebook page too . But in any case I hope you enjoy seeing my week evolve in pictures.
Well you can’t start your day on an empty stomach, this is my favorite breakfast. Oatmeal, blueberries and shaved almond. Eaten in the morning sunshine outside on my porch. Heavenly start of a weekend.
The trouble with the sun pouring in is that the dust and dirt becomes quite evident. So I guess I had to work off that breakfast by cleaning out this nest of ours.
My ‘couch’ pillows, who should be more adequately be called our floor pillows. Because that’s where they usually end up.
And cleaning would be no fun if it didn’t lead to a little foofing and fluffing too:
The kitchen shelves got a good clean and some blue pottery got a prime new location.
After all that work it was definitely time for some rest and relaxation. We spent a gorgeous evening outside. Candle light, some bubly and the best company ever, made for quite the romantic evening.

Sunday lunch somewhere on a terrace ended with a big latte, with something on the side….
How incredibly cute is that little cone holder on the plate with a petite ice cream cone filled with whipped cream. Yum, yum.
There is no such thing as too much chippy paint….
Y’ll remember my vintage bedspread with my new linens. I promise that bedspread will be listed this week. Cross my heart….
Sometimes when I am cleaning, or redecorating I put all the decorations safely out of the way, waiting to be properly put away.
And then you turn around and that haphazard put together collection, turns out to be a really nice corner and it stays that way…
Sometimes I share sneak peaks. Like this one of my upcoming Craft room reveal:
Hope you like it…..
Remember my grassy indoor plants that are still on my mantel?
Well they got a bit unruly. So I tied them up with fabric strips and now they are all in line again. What a bit of fabric can’t do….
My Love and I. Sitting on the couch. Watching TV. It’s a long couch. We sit each on one end, miles apart. But we need to touch, so here we are sitting hand in hand. That’s ♥ people!
Fall is approaching. The heat has left us. The clouds have moved in.
But I love these Dutch skies with puffy clouds. This pic was taken from the car while driving on our way to do some errands.
I love Fall, it is such a wild and unruly time of year. And mother nature sure puts on a show. No subtle colors in Fall, it is big, bright and abundant.
Like these sun flowers.
And I leave you with some words to remember. Cause we all need our dreams.
Dare to Dream: Dream Big, Dream Hard, and Dream Loud.

Ehm, een koude dag en het is al herfst? Denk ut niet!
groetjes, Marianne.
All of your photos are so lovely.
I just love what you did with your couch. I remember you asking what we thought a while back about blending his and her decor together.
Nice touch on the modern couch! Looks nice and comfy.

What a beautiful romantic post. Those blueberries look so yummy. Yes, your couch looks so comfy.
A lovely glimpse into your week. You are so right about the cleaning leading to rearranging and fluffing the nest!
