Shht ladies, move a little closer, I have a little secret to tell…
I washed my windows.
I know! Incredible isn’t it.
I went outside with a bucket full of soapy water and my window-washing paraphernalia and I washed my front windows and door!!!
Now don’t you go tell anybody, or people might start to expect me to do that more often. And don’t you dare whisper a thing about this to My Love, he might get accustomed to it.
You see I had to wash my windows, because I had to wash my front door. And if I only washed my front door, my windows would look even more dirty then they already were.
“Why wash the front door then?”, you ask.
Well because of this:
A crafted a new wreath for my front door.
Couldn’t hang and photograph it on a door that hadn’t been washed in a really long time, now could I.
So after I made the wreath, I took that bucket and cleaned the door, and the windows. And then hung the wreath.
Rest assured I won’t make a habit out of it.
Oh and shall I tell you something else. Remember those green pumpkins that were the highlight of my Fall table setting ? Those pumpkins that enjoyed their stardom for five full minutes, until they were put aside real quick for real food? Remember them?
Well I wasn’t quite done with them. And since they do looked so good on the table, I gave them another table to be a star on.
I made myself a bit of a Fall table outside:
Just a quickie. An old work tool caddy holds two green leafed plants, the pumpkins are scattered across the table and two lanterns do what they do best: look good. This is my kind of decorating: quick, easy, and very effective.
Even my little shelves got in on the theme. Lots of green and white there too. Although in all honesty, those are all faux greens, because nothing would live there as I always forgot to water them. But from a distance they almost look real…..
So I guess my house is ready for Fall inside and out. Time to go play and strike some fun things off of my bucket list.
So, did you wash any windows lately? Or, gulp, iron shirts?
Please tell me your domestic virtues and inspire me (or not ).
