Welcome sweet ladies to todays episode of decorating with tulips. This weekend was national tulip day. You didn’t know that now did you? Me neither until every Dutch (social) media outlet seemed to be reporting about it. I didn’t even know we had a national tulips day, but apparently we do. It is the official start of the tulip season. Not that I knew that either because me tulip season already started two weeks ago.
Anyway in honor of national tulip day I bought myself yet another little bouquet of tulips and I started reminiscing about all the decoration with tulips I have done in the past. Quite a bit of it, as it turned out. That is not really a surprise though because they are my favorite Spring flowers. They are so versatile, they go with every style.
They go well with a farmhouse decor and easily take center stage if you choose a really bold color.
Choose a soft pink and put them in vintage bottles and you have an easy but fun mantel decoration.
I don’t do multi-colored flower bouquets often. I usually stick to one color or one color palette. But tulips are the exception to that rule. I love a colorful bouquet of tulips
Tulips are quite hardy and you can have real fun with them. Especially since they are the only flowers that continue to grow in the vase. I still love this fun little pink tulips decoration I did a couple of years ago.
Of course I love them in white too! You would know that! I tucked in some of the brown wrapping paper they came in with this bouquet and I still love that look!
This abundant tulip bouquet was a gift I received last year. Tulip flowers a perfect gift every time in my book.
Back to work y’all! CU
