Howdie folks, welcome back. How is the new year treating you? I can’t say that I am back in the swing of things yet. I am still longing for lazy days sipping hot chocolate on my couch.
But alas reality is different, work has to be done and obligations need to be fulfilled.
But to make things a bit easier on myself I indulged in buying myself a sweet bouquet of flowers. And guess what?! They ain’t white.
The rest of my winter mantel decoration is white….
But my flowers are sweet and pink and make me so happy I can almost forget that it is yet again raining outside.

Hi there folks, I have been doing a little in-between-decorating. My Fall mantel was not working anymore, due to the fact that I kept eating the decorations (yummy pumpkin muffins, soup and casseroles have been on the menu lately).
With my mantel getting emptier with every dinner, a little change was in order. I didn’t feel like doing another outright Fallish mantel and I definitely feel like it is too early for Christmas. So I whipped up something simple and functional quickly.
Isn’t Fall one of the best seasons to decorate in. Nature supplies us with decor and craft materials in abundance and I love the color fest out there. This weekend we took advantage of the good weather and went out for a walk. I didn’t come back with empty hands……
