Getting my color on {Spring decorating in the garden}

Shhht ladies, have you heard? Spring is coming……

Really it is!

And I have started my Spring decorating outside.

vintage crate with colorful Spring flowers

No muted colors for me this time. No white flowers only either. But lovely bold, colorful, outrageously cheerful flowers, just screaming Spring is coming.

We are having a beautiful couple of days and I am enjoying the sun so much (too bad I have to work though). And of course I am in full denial of the fact that later in the week the temperatures are going to take a dive again.

I am so ready for Spring it isn’t even funny anymore. This winter has been all about ginormous stretches of time with only cloudy, grey and rainy days. I have been missing the sun so much!

decorating for Spring on the garden table

I’ll be extremely sad when the weather turns again at the end of this week. But at least my little colorful primulas will keep me happy and optimistic. I think they look nice in my vintage crate.

So is your mood influenced by the weather? Have you started your Spring decorating? (or your Fall decorating for the ones down under?).

I think you might like this too

Ja, leuk he! Verjaardagscadeautje van een paar jaar geleden, inclusief flessen gevonden bij een uitdragerij.

Love the box of bright primulas. I have done little spring decorating around the house – but I did spring-i-fy my blog a little. That was fun!

Your flowers and crate combo are lovely! Your such big steps ahead of me….I just today have cut up the old Christmas tree that was lying in the yard since January! Yep, it’s been a long and dreary winter…but I did discover some pretty little snowdrops sprouting in the bed, yay!

Shhht don’t tell anybody, but right before I put the crate with the flowers on the table, my Christmas centerpieces were still there. I had convinced myself they were winter centerpieces and I just kept them up until now. So it only looks as if I am ahead…..
      Snowdrops here too!

Hi Marianne, yes spring is here at my home, as the wildflower-grass widows are up and blooming. I love their little purple/lavender colored faces shining up to the sun. Now, after telling you that, we had four + inches of snow this morning. Oh well, the little wild flowers will be showing their faces again. Love your bright colors. Hope your spring will be there soon. Blessings and smiles, Emilou :-)

“wildflower-grass widows”, I had to google that one. Looks like a lovely messenger of Spring!
We are going to have another winter spell too, snow is coming back. :-(
I guess I’ll have to tuck my primulas in at night to keep them safe from the frost.
