So tell me, did you pick me out of the line up? The blond hair was a giveaway wasn’t it?
Funny thing was that even my sister said she had a hard time finding me and she lived through the real thing.
I sure think I improved with time. And I have no intention of stopping that trend 😀
This was fun wasn’t it. I am sure it brought back memories for a lot of you. Memories of crazy perms, bangs so high and stiff they could withstand a storm, plastic earrings, big hair, baggy shirts and short skirts. Memories of insecurities, skin breakouts at the worst possible time, glasses too big, braces too tight and strange bodily changes.
Oh puberty, my poor little self.
It all started out pretty good. I think I was a cute enough baby, with my blond hair and my very chubby legs.
And in hindsight I think I was quite adorable all through my childhood years. I started high school still a child.
This is me at twelve.
Just on the verge of all the changes to come.
Gosh I sure am glad I made it to the other side in one piece.
We all had a great time sharing our embarassing pictures. And even though we had the inside knowledge, seeing them all ligned up had us questioning again who was who too. I can’t imagine how difficult it was for all of you.
There were many entries and a lot of you came pretty close, but there was only one person
one true DIY fan rose to claim victory!
Please meet the winner of the Before They Were Bloggers Contest:
(only fair we share her adorable before too…..)
This girl knows her DIY blogs because she’s a blogger herself. Please take a minute to congratulate Sara by leaving her a comment on her blog today. She spent a lot of time holding a sick little baby yesterday and clicking back and forth to the different blogs to match all 29 faces with their blogs (she’s quite the multi-tasker isn’t she.) And now… the moment you’ve been waiting for… here are the match ups.
B. Decor Chick
G. Sawdust Girl
J. DIY Showoff
T. The Nester
Y. 320 Sycamore
Z. Just a Girl
How did you do? Were you close? Check out each blog because most of them will be posting a side by side photo of themselves. Feel free to laugh a little more.
This was so much fun. Let’s all remember to keep laughing, especially about ourselves.
