I am into hacking IKEA. No not into hacking into their computer system, but hacking their products as in changing them, using them for different purposes, make them personal and place my own stamp on them.
Sometimes it is a simple makeover. Like this MOPPE makeover that only involved paint and paper.
It is easy to change the look of these simple wooden drawer boxes. The next one also got the paint and paper treatment, but by choosing different colors and patterns it got a completely different style.
Some of my Ikea hacks are a bit more involved. Like when I turned good old Billy into a Built-in Bookcase. Totally transformed that baby and it looks great!
My very first big furniture makeover project was an IKEA hack to. Turning a simple outdated Bonde cupboard into a country cottage beauty.
I even wrote a  full tutorial on how to make this cupboard with chicken wire panels.
A couple of years later I hacked my hack and gave it yet another makeover as part of a big craft room overhaul.
Now I didn’t invent the term Ikea hack. There is a whole crowd of people who are hacking Ikea. There is even a website dedicated to showcasing the best Ikea Hacks.
Here are some of my favorites I found there.

Toothbrush holder becomes jewelry stand
I hope you enjoyed this peek into the world of hacking IKEA!
