G’day little birdies of the flock welcome to my Spring living room. How is life treating you? I have been puttering a lot this weekend. The sun was out, the sky was blue and energy levels were soaring. It prompted an impromptu Spring cleaning session, that might or might not have included the trying out of the couch in different corners, the mad search through cupboards and closets for illusive pillow covers and me hauling various pieces of furniture up two flights of stairs.
The end result of all that slaving away was one very clean, bright, white Spring living room that is definitely breathing a touch of a brighter season. Of course with a pinch of boho beach thrown in for good measure. I debated putting away the rug, but I couldn’t kid myself that much. Winter is definitely not over, one sunny day is not a good measure.
In fact last night, throws were in full action, candles were lit and the fireplace was roaring as we sat there savoring the after-weekend glow and trying very hard not to think about the upcoming workweek.
So let’s call this my beachy living room decor with a touch of Spring. I am sure that more Spring is bound to creep in, as I’ve already been eyeing the bulbs and the egg decorations in the flower shop.
I can’t decide if I like my whiter than white beach house more on the dreary, dark winter days when my white living room seems to be the only light place in the world and makes the darkness at least bearable. Or that I like it best on sun filled days when the white seems to just light up and is so uplifting. I guess I love it always.
So how is it in your part of the world. Spring creeping in? Or still in mid-winter mood? Or perhaps savoring the summer days knowing that Fall is around the corner?

I love the casual but chic look you’ve created for this space–other rooms, too! I live close to the beach and am inspired by your design sensibilities.
That coffee table–I absolutely love it! Like a sawhorse, but infinitely cuter in that space. Would you be willing to tip your hand by telling me where you found it?
