Oops, I did it again…..
I went flea market hunting….
I came home with a vintage crochet blanket…..
She is beautiful!
She looks so good on our bed. Beautiful contrast between the clear bright white bedspread and my dark metal bed.
This bedspread is just perfect. All she needed when I brought her home was a good soak and wash and she came out radiant and shining.
Someone, somewhere put a lot of time and effort into this one.
There are roses in the middle of stars and it all brings so much lovely texture. And she drapes well too…..
I think this blanket is exactly what I have been searching for. She completes me and my white-loving-ways. She is a dream and all that I could wish for – in a vintage crochet blanket that is -.
I want to marry her….
I want her to be my wedding dress….
I will never part with her…
The man raised an eyebrow when he saw her on the bed. Just one eyebrow. But that eyebrow spoke, loud and clearly.
Something about making him feel that this was his grandmothers bedroom….
Something about ‘there is a limit to what this man can take’ ….
Something like ‘you’d better prepare the guest room’ …
I love her to pieces.
My man doesn’t.
I love my man more than this blanket (just a tiny bit more though )
This vintage crochet blanket deserves to be loved and cherished and displayed. She has already been discarded and neglected once, she shouldn’t be put in a corner again.
So with great sorrow and regret, I have listed her for sale. Please if you love her, snatch her up and make her the star in your bedroom.
PS Of course this doesn’t stop me from continuing the hunt for more crochet blankets. I got to discover her and rescue her and play with her for a whole day and that is worth it any day.
