It is that time of the year again. Where I can’t help but decorate in white. After the Christmas frenzy, January is always the month where I long for simplicity, less clutter and more peace in my decorations.
Before I show you more of my little easy vignette I did this year let’s look back at some of my past white January vignettes.
In 2010 my January decorations were all about combining glass and white, and eliminating the color and abundance from my Christmas decor.
Last year, I went for even more simplicity and gave a big feather wreath the center stage in my mantel decoration.
And this year?
I used a bunch of (fake) money plant seed pods and my favorite big shells. That’s all, it doesn’t get any easier as that. Doesn’t get much better either.
This is one easy, simple but powerful vignette.
The way the sun plays with those translucent flower pods is magical. And I guess those shells and corals just prove that if you have beautiful elements to add to a vignette you really can’t go wrong.
This one looks good from every angle.
Even from above….
If you ever want to add tall stems like this to a small vase than I have a tip for you. Add some sand in the vase to give it some counterweight. It makes arranging those stems a lot easier too.
Yeah, this is my kind of January decorating. Simple, easy, light, airy, uncluttered, and most of all white.
I guess that’s it.
