Good day, my friends, I hope you all had a nice weekend and that the Monday Blues has passed your doorsteps. I just snuck in here to have a little chitchat with you all, because I was missing you and I wanted to thank you for the well wishes for me and my troubled backside.
My back is still not as it should be. I am shuffling around the house like a ninety year old woman. Not because I am in that much pain, but my back has gone all stiff and sore on me and it won’t let me sit still. And you all know how much I like to park my –not so little – behind in a comfy chair and curl up with a good book (home deco if at all possible).
But sitting is not an option for longer than a half hour at a time (and I used up today’s quotum of sitting hours at my ‘got-to-pay-the-mortgage-job’), so I hobble along from one little job to the next little chore. Anything to keep my body moving and me from going stir crazy.
And as proof that I am not exaggerating, would you believe I have willingly spent hours and hours doing ironing this weekend. I found that ironing is the perfect job for me right now. So after all the laundry was done, I even went so far as to get my fabrics out of the closet and wash and iron them. Now of course I want to sit behind my sewing machine and do something with all that fresh, lovely smelling fabric. But alas, sitting behind the sewing machine is even worse than sitting behind my computer.
So just as this little bud of apple blossom from my garden, I leave you with the promise of things yet to come.
And when I can sit down again for some longer periods, I’ll be doing my rounds of visiting y’all again too.
