I am so happy that the day has finally come that I get to share my brand new Craft Room makeover with you.
This project took so long and I don’t even want to think about it, but I get so happy and cheerful every time I walk into my own special place now, that I think it was all worth it.
So come on in and take a look around…..
See the door is wide open for you and you can see my maid’s closet and my new office desk with the postal chair all nicely together.
Let’s zoom in a bit and check out some details.
Home Office
This is my home office nook. Where I blog and hang out with you guys.
I have surrounded myself with inspiring words, to help me focus on what is most important in life.
Move a bit to the right and you are in the center of my room, straight across from the door.
As you can see the maid’s closet is in full use. I love all that extra storage space!
And on top I have a little spot to decorate a bit.
I think my vintage mannequin looks good up there. Oh and in case you are wondering. That little lamp was a project from last year, when I prettied up a thrifted lamp shade with lace and ribbons.
Moving still to the right you reach my sewing corner.
Sewing Station
Both my machines got a proper cover this time, and I painted some old suitcases and collaged another my Ikea drawer cabinet to fit the new color scheme. I guess I have a proper sewing station now.
~~~~~~
I am so loving the colors I choose. The light blue is so cheerful and the neutral tones go so well with the blue and the white. This room smiles at me when I walk in.
I am using two wire hearts for my inspiration boards on this side. I plan to fill them up to overflowing with inspiring goodness.
Craft Room Storage
When you turn around you see the storage corner. The pallet wood shelf unit is all filled up now, and doing me proud.
The thrifted (and anti wood worm treated) vintage wine boxes have found a place here. I am using one as my shipping and wrapping center for my shop.
The door got a lick of white paint, a new/old handle and a mirror.
I love how the mirror reflects different corners of my craft room.
As you can see I also added a bit above the door.
What would Songbird’s craft room be without birds?
Craft Room Inspiration Shelves
And here is my finished and in full use radiator cover. I am loving that spot so much. It took a long time to finish and it ain’t perfect in any way. But I learned so much from building this, the next one I do is gonna be so much easier and better (her is how I built the radiotor cover / book shelf ).
That shelf is such a fun place to decorate. I am sure you will see many reruns of it here on the ole blog. But for now I love the black and white, with the browns and a bit of blue thrown in for fun.
My craft room is finally finished. Let’s create!
If you want to see how this room looked before I went all makeover happy on it. I wrote a full Where this Blogger Creates Craft Room post in 2010 too. Check out the old craft room, it was good too just quite different from my current style.
So what do you think?????
It is stunning, Marianne! I am in love with every detail. My space has been relegated to the garage for now, it’s really organized, but not very pretty. How about you share your beautiful space with me?
