Green home accessories for your living room are perfect St Patrick’s day decorations. I love all these green home decor accessories and green bottles decorating ideas. There are some perfect St Patrick’s day decorations you can DIY that work wonderfully as Spring decorating ideas as well.
In all honesty we don’t celebrate St. Patrick’s day over her in the Netherlands. I wasn’t even aware it was a holiday until I was wasting some time on Pinterest and one after the other green St. Patrick’s day pin showed up in my feed. So as a true researcher I googled and found it is quite a thing in the States, as in Ireland of course. Now I am not about to jump on that bandwagon but the whole thing did get me thinking…..
Over the years I have done quite a few decorations that spotlight the color green. I have used green home accessories in several living room vignettes and displays that would make perfect St. Patrick’s day decor. So I revisited some old posts, spruced them up and gathered them together for your viewing pleasure.
Combine green bottles and jars with white and green flowers and you have a lovely little green vignette that is just perfect in any season. I added pinecones and a pumpkin for Fall, but sprinkle some faux eggs and a little nest in there and you’d have some perfect green Spring decor.
If you love the Farmhouse decorating style, you might especially love this next green display. I used a vintage green bottle and jar and combined it with a new -but vintage looking- oil lamp for a quick and easy vignette. The different tones of green really pull this decoration together. As long as you have one theme going, you can combine new and old, natural and artificial and real and faux quite easily and it still makes sense as a collection.
Of course bringing in the greens from outside into your home, works wonders to for Spring or St. Patrick’s day decor. I made this green leaves wreath in five easy steps. Making a leaf wreath like this is not only very easy and quick, but it is a frugal and cheap way to decorate with green indoors too.
Talking about quick, easy and cheap! How about this window sill decoration. I bet you have a collection of bottles in your recycling bin. Why not grab them and display them on your window sill or a shelf of ledge in your home. The light behind the bottles is magic all in itself but when you add a string of lights it becomes even more beautiful. This is recyling and repurposing at its best!
I couldn’t end this post without at least one green mantel decoration. If you want to decorate for St. Patrick’s day in a way that will look smashing after the holiday is over than this very green mantel decor might just do the trick. I arranged a collection of green, grassy houseplants that are super easy to care for on my mantel and it definitely was one of my favorite mantels. All those super green leaves made such a statement and really brought a touch of nature inside.
I loved revisiting some of the green home accessories I have used in my living room over the years. Do you agree they are perfect St Patrick’s day decorations?
Looking at all these green posts makes me wonder if I could round up some other colors that have made it into my decor over the years too? Okay I am of to go check….
