Hello readers, welcome here in my little nest. Today I want to share another little light decorating with you. Light as in unassuming, easy, and quick. But definitely beautiful, effective and with wow factor. And this time it was totally free too! Yup, I used mother nature’s gift and she gives it in return for nothing else but appreciation and consideration.
Look at my view from my living room.
I know it looks as if I painted those greens, they look neon in the bright sunlight. But that is really how it looks. All that new green seems to light up and glow under the sunlight.
But that is not what I came here to share. Look at my table. Can you see that giant of a bouquet I have there?
Here is a better look.
Cow’s parsley in a big galvanized bucket. This bunch is huge. Huge as in man-sized, and I like it. Where else could one pull off such a giant bouquet as outside on the garden table. This baby makes a statement, I tell you. A statement about enjoying beauty where you can find it. About how wonderful nature is and that she is the best crafter of us all. And about how we should be grateful for the bounty that is all around us.
This weed, because that’s what it is basically, or that’s what we have called it since it chooses her own place to grow, is called Fluitekruid in Dutch. Which means ‘whistle weed’. I think that is a good name, because seeing a big meadow filled with it (or probably lined with it), makes you want to lay down in the grass and whistle up to the skies. Doesn’t this lacy flower just ooze lazy summer days.
A bit of light and frugal decorating for you on this sunny Spring day.
So tell me have you ever decorated with weeds? And do you also run around with a clipping knife (and a tape measure) as standard accessories in your purse?
