Hi there! How are you doing? I hope everything is twinkydinkie in your neck of the woods.
Here we are just plugging along. Today I want to reintroduce you to my twig wreath.
Remember my twig wreath? I made her a year ago out of a bunch of leftover clippings from my garden. She went to various makeovers during the year and in January I wrote a melancholic post showing you what I thought was her farewell appearance here on this blog. I had moved her from inside to outside and I honestly believed she would be falling apart within weeks if not days.
But look who’s here! She is still going strong. So strong in fact that I gave her another five minute makeover.
I dressed her up for Spring.
Truly a five minute makeover. I just added some fresh faux greens and some white flowers and she is good for another couple of months.
Seriously, washing the door and removing that thick layer of yellow pollen dust took me much longer than dressing up my wreath again.
There is nothing easier than coming up with variations to use this twig wreath. I showed you five seasonal makeovers already. And here we are full circle with another Spring variation
I can truly and wholeheartedly recommend a twig wreath to anyone who considers herself ‘wreath-challenged’. There isn’t much that you can do to a twig wreath that will not look good on her. Just add something in there, make sure it is nicely spread all over and call it a day.
I love the pop and contrast those white flowers give. And I just added a bit of yellow toned green, to brighten up the greyish green that I used for winter. I think the whole mood of this wreath has changed.
Who can believe that I’d have so much pleasure from a big ole heap of wood clippings.
I can only wonder how many appearances this one will continue to make on this blog.
I fear she might outlive us all……
Happy Good Weather Days to you!!!!
