So, I was telling you about our mini vacation we took at the beginning of Oktober….
Day one was hunting for inspiration and scouting trends and styles at the home decor event “Woonbeurs”. Day two was spent wandering around Amsterdam.
Come along as I take you on a little Amsterdam trip and show you some of my favorite spots in our capital city.
I love Amsterdam. It is such a completely different city than the ones in my region of the country. The architecture, the canals, the lively vibe on the streets, the shopping, the eating, it all has that big city feeling and yet it is still a totally walk-able city.
A city where people actually live and work and play.
And ride their bicycles….
It is also a wonderful shopping city. Although, this time round, we didn’t spend a lot of time indoors. The weather was just too gorgeous, so we mainly just walked around while enjoying the sights.
But Sukha was a favorite first time visit that I wanted to share.
We had sort of planned to go visit the recently totally renovated Rijksmuseum (the museum that houses the Night Watch), but again the beautiful weather lured us outside.
So instead we went to the back of the museum and watched people climbing all over the I Amsterdam sign and take selfies.
We felt so lucky to have this little break in our own country and be gifted with such beautiful weather.
And it wasn’t over yet….
The next day it got even more Dutch than this…
But I’ll show you that next week.
