Hello my friends, we are having Spring days here in the low lands. Beautiful Spring days, the weekend was just gorgeous. I know that those among you that are still knee deep into snow banks might not want to hear it, but over here the sun is gaining power.
So whether you are enjoying a sunny Spring yourself, or the idea of Spring is still only a theoretical hope at the moment, let me cheer up your day with some roses.
My love surprised me with them. Maybe he read about my flower therapy and thought I needed a bit more 😀
Or maybe he is just the lovely man that I know he is. Any way he totally hit the mark with these beauties.
I couldn’t wait to start foofing with them. It was a nice big bunch so I decided to break them up into two small bouquets. Enter some thrifted white crockery, my upside down pitcher candle holder and place it all on a recent thrifted breadboard and call it a day and sit back and enjoy. And see my little roses centerpiece idea is done!
As you can see the sun was streaming in, filling the room with glorious light. It beckoned us outside. Good thing we already had a walking date with friends, so we soaked up some more. Feeling my legs and bum now after my first serious hill trampling trip after a winter of sitting down on my butt all day. But the exercise and vitamin D were very welcome indeed.
Yes life is good. And so much better when the sun is shining and there are roses on my table.
Hope you enjoyed my flower greeting! Have a great week my friends.

Oh Marianne
I have a climbing rose called ‘Pierre De Ronsard” (pink version) and in mid October (our Spring in the Sth Hemisphere), I fill a rusty old metal bucket with floral foam and water and then bloom after bloom of the gorgeous rose.
With clean water added, it lasts at least a fortnight.
Just like your beautiful pink bursts of sunshine, my roses make feel just so happy.
Your vignette makes me smile at the memory.
Thank you.

Oh that sounds heavenly. I’ll look up your rose and see if it would be happy in our garden too. So happy you left me a comment!
They’re beautiful!

Thank you. xx Marianne
Ohhh I love that rose! So unusual. I need a tree rose. I’ll have to take my iPad? It’s the end of bare root though. Next year!! I love the vignette. But how to get the candle to work. Hot glue? For that caught my eye right away. Loved the upside down creamer as a candle holder! Just the unexpected makes it all so beautiful. Happy almost Spring!!!
