With the big paint project finished I was all gung-ho on starting a new project. It is Saturday after all, time to play. Except I couldn’t. I couldn’t get myself into gear, I lingered and I lounged and inspiration was hard to find.
So I decided that another kind of play was in order.
It was a beautiful day so my Love and I took a stroll into town…
We visited one of the most beautiful bookstores in the world:
I was seriously tempted to buy this book:
It is called “knitting Christmas Tree Ornaments with Arne and Carlos” and it seriously is a book by two Scandinavian guys who knit Christmas balls and wrote a book about them. I thought it was hilarious.
There is also an English version I found online:
You can find it at Book Depository. Since I still don’t know how to knit, I didn’t buy this one. But I did come home with new cookbooks (which would suggest that I’d know how to cook, which I don’t really, that’s why I keep buying the books).
In the mean time my camera was at ‘the doctor’s office’ because it had a weird mark on its lens. We decided to wait the rest of the time outside.
It was such a lovely day that there wasn’t a seat free in the whole town.
But my Love conquered a spot and I indulged in this:
Cappuccino and a Chocolate Muffin. I think I deserved it after all that hard work.
On my way home I bought some girly things:
Nail polish and a ring (nail polish by L’Oreal and the ring is from H&M). Sorry for the blurry picture it is taken with my IPhone, and I still haven’t mastered the art of good picture taking with my phone.
I tell you painting your nails is so difficult. I find painting a window ledge much easier. But it was fun to take care of my hands for a change and remembering how they could look if they are not covered with white paint.
And then I played with my camera. All fixed it worked like a charm again.
Talking about something difficult. Taking one of those self portraits is hellish. I don’t know how all those bloggers do it.
One more thing to keep practicing I guess.
So today was about getting something else done: me time and some time spent playing with My Love.
I think after all that blogging, and project doing and painting we both needed this day to recharge the batteries and have some fun.
So what did you do this Saturday. Got anything done? Remember you can still link up.
I am writing a series of 31 days to Get it Done! You can find all the posts in this series here.
On the first day I explained in detail what this series is about and what I am going to do, find that post and all the posts since then in order here.
