Good day my sweets. I have been busy this weekend. Mostly with fun things like playing with lots of flowers, starting the Flea market season, going for a Spring walk and playing decorator. I even got my hands dirty in the garden and then messed them up with white paint.
But most of all I have been enjoying myself with a bit of washi tape decorating. Remember my white painted vase? Well it got another little makeover. Washi tape made it easy this round too.
Doesn’t that look wonderfully fresh and Spring like? These colors make me so happy. I was going for a bit of green, to add to my green decorations. Turned out I didn’t have dark green tape, but these lighter colors made me smile so I went for it.
Washi tape decorating is so easy. You just apply it horizontally, or vertically or criss-cross and it always looks good.
Oh and yes I didn’t even bother to take the twine off that bottle. It went straight from my mantel to this little vignette. I guess I am living up to my reputation as a lazy decorator again.
I like lazy decorating….
Really don’t these colors just scream Spring! I think so.
Of course my impromptu vase topper got a washi tape makeover too. Five minutes was all it took. That stuff is magical, I can’t imagine what we all did before we had washi tape in our lives.
I couldn’t figure out what to put in or on this little bottle. I didn’t like the look of more flowers, so I just added a little candle. Tea lights with washi tape: simple, practical and such fun.
Yes this was just my kind of crafting: taking a quiet moment in the midst of busyness and a house in disarray, to sit still and play with colorful tape.
So what have you been up to this weekend? Done anything fun? Played with washi tape?
