Happy Monday y’all. Ready for another summer vignette in your life? Ready for another little summer beach decor?
Good! Here you go……
I guess you could say this is another one of my so easy, so simple decorations. Another tray, some bottles, some shells, some more details and ready. Took me 15 minutes to pull it off. Well that and a day of shopping with my love……
This vignette was totally inspired by two things.
First and foremost those bottles. I had spotted them at the grocery store a couple of times and up untill yesterday I had been able to withstand their lure. And then I caved. I am such a sucker for pretty packaging.
Both are rose wine bottles. The white one is a plain rose and the blue one a sparkling rose. Both are very good and man-approved. The pink wine is a memory now, the bottles will be here to stay.
I love that they are so pretty with a nice little message to us.
I also love it when my decorating forces me to drink wine……
The second thing that inspired this vignette are some new beach decorations that I bought the other day on a special day out with my love. I love it that we can so easily cross a border into another country, another culture, where there are stores I don’t have back home. The ceramic sea stars and sea urchins were found in Germany at a store called Depot. I loved the clear whiteness of the ceramics and I knew they had to come home with me.
In the store they have also created lovely vignettes to show you how to use the accessories they are selling. In fact one of them looked similar to this. They used regular wine bottles though, but when I saw it I knew I had finally found the perfect excuse to buy those pretty wine bottles at the grocery store. And the rest is history.
The necklace was an extra that came with an order for shells I placed on line (with all of my summerification projects still in the making I was running out of shells 😀 ). It turned out like the perfect addition to this vignette.
Oh and see that canvas in the back?
Let’s take a closer look shall we…..
A 50 cents thrift store find. Nobody wanted it. No surprise there. Someone had painted a perfectly nice sea canvas and than they glued a paper circle with blobs of paint in the middle.
I bought it with the intention of re-using the canvas one day. But when I removed that eye-sore in the middle (thank god for cheap glue), I actually quite like the sea painting. So it became the perfect backdrop for my new vignette.
Yes. Project summerification is well on its way and I am liking it so far.
How is your summer decor going? All done? Haven’t started yet? Still coming up with new projects? Skipping it all together? Or are you busy decorating for Fall down under?
