Hello my friends,
This time we were asked to do a fun project with a color from the Fusion Tones for Tots line. And those colors are just gorgeous! There are a couple of greys in there that really spoke to me, so I ordered those. Fully intending to give my nightstands a much needed Songbird makeover.
And then I was ready to paint….
And the sun was out…..
And it was finally feeling like Spring……
And I just couldn’t make myself play with grey. Too much grey in my life with the dreary Fall and Winter we have had. I was longing for fresh, and happy and colorful.
Luckily enough the dealer had stashed sample pots of the whole Tones for Tots line in my package, and those colors were just begging me to dig in. Look how beautiful they all look together.
So I went for it. Rummaged around in my garage and came upon some very old numbered pots that were looking stale and hardly fresh and could do with a new round in the spotlight. I added some unpainted terracotta pots to the mix, and then found this very bright yellow enamel container in a corner. Let’s see how Fusion paint deals with all those different materials?
Well it dealt with it like a charm. It covered the old paint, the raw terracotta and even the slick enamel like a charm. I could have gotten away with just one layer of paint, but a second one made it all just that much better. It went on smooth and quick. Most time was used to rinse out my brush after every change of color.
And then the fun times began for real. Picking out some Spring flowers in colors that complimented my newly Fusion painted pots. I love how this turned out. Just the right amount of color in my white home to remind me that Spring is here and color will return.
Spring flowers in newly painted pots in gorgeous colors that match each other so naturally and so beautifully. I love this project. It brightens my home and my mood!
What’ye think? Looks like Spring to you?
Cheers mates! Until next time
PS I received the Fusion paint to use in this project. I accepted the offer knowing full well that I love this paint and that it would be a dream to work with. Just saying, so you are in the loop…
