What would Christmas be without at least one little easy Christmas vignette that you can pull together in an instant? Well?
Well in my book it wouldn’t really be Christmas 😉
So presenting to you today: my little Christmas vignette.
Also presenting today:
Yep on Day 6 the official halfway point of this series it is my honor to invite you all to participate in my giveaway. But more about that later.
First there is my little vignette. Pulled together at the last minute because I felt inspired to do so.
I was inspired by those little star studded tea light holders. I found them for a song and dance in a discount store and couldn’t resist. I know that I’ll end up using them all year long, but for now they are the star of this little Christmas table centerpiece.
One of my old trusted painted pots got a star sticker, cut from chalkboard vinyl, and an old painted ketchup bottle received the star treatment: a lot of tiny stars hand drawn by me personally. As you can tell my drawing skills leave a lot to be desired. But who cares the effect is there.
Then it was just a matter of arranging it all on a tray.
I went for a mini theme here. Mini black stars, mini trees, mini poinsettia, mini Christmas bell.
To give it all a bit more status I layered the tray on top of our faux sheepskin. I think it works surprisingly well as a table cloth.
The origami star is handmade too. I used three different kind of wrapping papers from Ikea and this tutorial. It took a bit of patience but it is a lot easier than it looks.
And then I called it a day.
As in leave it to enjoy it and just light those little candles at night.
Five Easy Christmas decorations
On to the giveaway…….
—————————— UPDATE: GIVEAWAY CLOSED ———————————————————-
I am so honored and pleased to present this to you.
As long as I have been blogging I have followed Marian aka Miss Mustard Seed on her amazing journey. And amazing it is. Power bunny that she is: she running a business like no business before, coming up with new ventures all the time.
If she wasn’t famous before because of her amazing furniture makeovers, she is famous now for her complete milk paint line.
I have used milk paint, to paint my hutch, an old door, and lately my farmhouse living room table.
I love milk paint and all the assorted products(I even wrote a little review). The waxes, the oils, the brushes, it all is of amazing quality and you can’t go wrong with it. It will be unexpected, it might turn out a bit different than your vision before, but it will always look amazing.
And now you have a chance to try it out yourself. Marian has graciously offered a $150 gift card for milk paint products of your choosing. How about that!

I have a large hand-built cupboard in my living room that was stained a medium brown when it was built 27 years ago. But lately it has been asking me to paint it. I think Luckett’s Green or Eulalie’s sky, or both (one inside and one outside) would be a beautiful choice. Milk paint would be perfect for this project.
I check in with you every day already, but I went ahead and signed up for the e-mails, too!

DEFINITELY TYPEWRITER! I was blessed to find a free item on the sidewalk in front of an antique store that I love…. a buffet with drawers and doors whose legs were lost long ago. My eyes immediately pictured a unique window seat with precious storage space within! I have the foam to make a soft cushion for the top, but have waited patiently to choose the fabric until I found just the right color for the bench…. I HAVE FOUND IT IN TYPEWRITER! Oh how I hope I win!

I love the Shutter Gray! My new kitchen is white, stark white, and the countertops are black granite. I plan to paint the kitchen island. I’m thinking Shutter Gray, or possibly, depending on seeing the colors in person (I want to make my own swatches) Dried Lavender. It will really help with all that white, I’m thinking. I love your website, I just subscribed! And, oh my, Tricycle, I absolutely must find something for that color, love it!
